Joey Shanahan
Joey showed up in our yard one day late in 2001. A short while after Pete went to Heaven we took Joey in and adopted him. Since Lukie went to Heaven on October 24, 2011, Joey is are only beloved animal companion. He recently (November 10, 2011) underwent brain surgery to remove a meningioma tumor. The surgery was very successful and Joey is recovering nicely. The doctor says that these surgeries work out very well and if the tumor returns, it is slow growing and we may never need to do anything about it. It's a benign tumor. We thank the Lord and the skills of the doctor at Angell Memorial Hospital in Boston for Joey's recovery.
